Cat-astrophy

Last night when cleaning Miss Julie's litter box, I noticed that she's having a bladder issue (trying not to go into detail here). She's prone to infections. So - I had a minor meltdown as we leave Thursday morning for 2 weeks and now I have a sick cat. She was going to be staying home alone for a few days until my parents return from Mexico. They'll pick her up and take her to their house for the remainder of my trip. So, now I have to lean on my sweet, charming, caring, loving brother Greg to come thru for me. Not sure how we'll solve this just yet, but Julie has a vet appt later today, so I'm relieved to know she's going to get help and meds and we'll deal with it from there. My poor sweet kitty. I'm sure this is some kind of cosmic retribution for my leaving her for 2 weeks....but it's under control!! :)

4 days to go!

I think we're all packed except for last minute things I can't live without till we go. Weird. Felt like the trip would never get here and now it's right in front of me. First test of fortitude is surviving the flight...27 hours will be a L O N G time....
